This is our rental house in Sarasota. We’ve been here now for just over 3 weeks. Mom and dad are back to work and Chico and I are discovering new things every day.One of our discoveries was a pool. Neither Chico nor I have ever seen one before. The key word here is seen. I think I mentioned that my brother is sort of blind, so maybe he didn’t see the pool, but he has run right out and into it, not once, not twice but three times! I’m sure that was the surprise of his life. Luckily dad was there each time to pull him out! But now, I think he’s afraid of his own shadow! This is Mr. Lizard, the closest I’ve seen to an alligator so far. This guy is a decent size, but there are many smaller ones that scatter once I run outside. They don’t toy with me like Mr. squirrel did. They just hide in places I can’t reach. This is my new favorite pass time, neighborhood watch. I let mom and dad know the minute I see movement. It could be a person, a car, a dog, or just the wind.I also like sunning myself. After all, this is sunny Florida. Except when it rains, which sometimes is every day. And, it can be torrential at times as this is the rainy season I’m told. And this is the whole reason we are here. Mom and dad packed me and Chico up one day and took us to see this, our future home. We weren’t allowed out of the car here, but we did go to the golf course area and ran around out there. That was fun.
This concludes our big adventure across country. We sure had fun and are looking forward to many more adventures here in Florida.
