As we were approaching Nashville, dad breaks out in song “Nashville cats” except those are the only lines he remembers. So we heard Nashville cats….., Nashville cats….., Nashville cats……where’s the off button! Sorry dad!
As we normally do, mom got out to check us all in and we stay with dad in the car. Today we were staying at the Moxy, a Marriott hotel. Very unusual check-in.
Thank goodness the sign was pretty clear. Mom says ” Hi, I’d like to check in and I’ll have a Gin and tonic with lime while you are at it. The clerk says “Well as a matter of fact, here’s a couple of free chips for a free Moxy drink or beer if you prefer and here’s your room key”. So mom and dad came down later and had the Moxy drink which was made with bourbon, crushed cherries and lime juice. Pretty good they said. Here we are, left again in the hotel room watching tv as mom and dad go out to dinner, but I’m not complaining. It’s nice to be out of the car for the night. They went to dinner at this place which is fairly close to the hotel and they said it was really good and had a great atmosphere. They had tapas and more tapas. Pastas Bravas, Octopus, Pork Belly and mushrooms. Yum.
As much as Nashville has to offer, we didn’t really see or do anything as it’s hard to do something in just one night. So they opted for a nice dinner. Mom and dad want to come back (and I think that means without us).
Sounds fun. I just got back Sunday from visiting friends in Chattanooga! You’re close🤗
